A Transnational Jewish Story Told Through Art, Recipes & Yiddish
“Let me tell you” is a bilingual illustrated memoir and art project that bridges the personal and the cultural, tracing the migration of my Jewish family from pre-WWII Romania to Peru. The project intertwines family recipes, Yiddish expressions, illustrations, and personal narratives to explore themes of identity, diaspora, and cultural resilience.
Through visual storytelling, the project delves into how food and language carry memory across generations, and how contemporary technology, specifically WhatsApp, helps maintain ties to ancient traditions in the contemporary world.

“I believe in storytelling as a political and poetic act—especially in cultures of silence or fragmentation. My practice is an attempt to rebuild continuity where it was broken, to honor the voices of women whose wisdom often lives in recipes, jokes, or WhatsApp messages. Through visual language, I seek to make those moments visible.” RGB
